Collaborative Strategies for DOE 2000: Enhancing Software Development and Interoperability

The DOE 2000 Directions M2 group gathered experts to discuss program structures, technical goals, and current challenges in software development. Priorities include promoting interoperability, preserving the unique DOE 2000 approach, and identifying new opportunities in software methods and tools. The focus is on well-defined projects, leveraging finite-time development cycles, and enhancing collaboration across agencies like NASA and NSF. Key goals are to improve software tools for interoperability, portability, and multi-application use while incorporating advanced numerical methods and supporting collaborative problem-solving environments.
