  4. Network Install • Issue 9 – 3 installs • Standalone • Server • Client • Issue 10 Network install = • Standalone + Server + Client • Network install must be installed on a machine that has SQL Server and Analysis Services

  5. Network Install • A network installation loads all the server and client components that comprise the SYSPRO Analytics Framework • You implement a network installation when the machine on which you are installing SYSPRO Analytics functions as both the Analytics server and Analytics client

  6. Network requirements • .NET Framework • Analysis Services – 2000 or 2005 • Service packs 3/4 (Analysis Services 2000) • SQL Server – 2000 or 2005 • Service packs 3/4 (SQL Server 2000) • OWC Components (OWC11) • Common Folders check • OWC10 doesn’t support SQL 2005

  7. Client Install • Primarily SYSPRO Analytics viewer • Limited Administrator functionality • Note • If machine has SQL Server and Analysis Services load the Network install • Network instances can integrate and act as clients with other network installs

  8. Client Install • NET Framework • Client components • Connections to SQL Server and Analysis Services • Folder SYSPROAnalyticsClientReq on issue 10 CD • Setup.exe

Enet service installation • The e.net service installation installs components to provide integration into SYSPRO e.net architecture • Installed on SYSPRO application server • Only installed if the SQL Server and SYSPRO Application server are different • Integration used for • Company License information • Language Translation

  10. Supported Service Packs • SQL Server • Service Pack 3/3A (Sql2ksp3.exe) • Service Pack 4 (Sql2ksp4.exe) • SQL Server Analysis Services • Service Pack 3/3A (Sql2ksp3a.exe) • Service Pack 4 (Sql2ksp4a.exe)

  11. SQL 2005 • Two Beta sites at the moment • What to look out for • SQL Server Integration Services must be installed • SQL Server Analysis Services must be installed • Possible to run SQL Server 2005 and Analysis Services 2000

Pitfalls to watch out for • Do not install both the Network and client installs on the same machine. • Client components files will get overwritten • In the event of doing this – reapply the service packs. • Network can function as a viewer as well, so if a machine has SQL and you wish to load Analytics – load the Network install.
