What Students Say About Homework • Questionnaire completed by 210 HS seniors in 7 rural school districts in Tennessee. • 83% regularly assigned homework • 67% take 1-3 hours to complete homework • 91% report that assignments relate to that day’s teaching objectives • 79% feel that homework is NOT reasonable in terms of the amount of work required for completion • 63% feel homework is NOT beneficial • 67% feel that homework does not motivate them to learn more about the specific topics being studied Reddick, T. & Peach, L.
