  1. Station 1: Forces and Motion with Max Axiom (comic book) Directions: Work together to read the comic book and discuss/answer the questions on the worksheet provided.

  2. Station 2: Using Force and Motion (Booklet) Directions: Work together to read the booklet and discuss/answer the questions on the worksheet provided.

  3. Station 3: Active Folder: Newton’s 1st Law of Motion(Manipulative) Directions: Work together to complete the tasks using the cards. (Return the cards to the plastic baggie upon completion) Answer the journal questions on a separate sheet of paper individually, then come back as a group and discuss your answers. You may change/modify your answers at this point.

  4. Station 4: Active Folder: Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion(Manipulative) Directions: Work together to complete the tasks using dry erase markers. Answer the journal questions on a separate sheet of paper individually, then come back as a group and discuss your answers. You may change/modify your answers at this point. Consider the task on the back of the folder a journal question and follow directions above.

  5. Station 5: Active Folder: Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion(Manipulative) Directions: Work together to complete the tasks using dry erase markers. Once all tasks are complete, work on the Enrichment worksheets provided.

As a group discuss your answers and make changes/corrections to your answers as needed. Enrichment: Come up with 3-5 test questions and then quiz each other on your questions.

(cannot be hockey or football)

Station 10: Archimedes Principle(Virtual Lab) Directions: Go to the website: http://www.glencoe.com/sites/common_assets/science/virtual_labs/CT01/CT01.html Read all the information along the left side of the page – scroll down! Once you get to the procedure, start the virtual lab. Follow the directions precisely!! Record your data on the data table provided. Answer ALL of the journal questions individually, then discuss/modify your answers as a group. (Place your journal responses on the back of the data table).
