  4. INTONATION means the sound changes produced by the rise and fall of the voice when speaking, especially when this has an effect on the meaning of what is said

She is my beautiful gray Persian cat. She has a small body. She also has two ears. It has smooth fur. She has four legs. She walks with pride and grace. Her pride, however, does not extend to her appearance, for she spends most of his time indoors watching television and growing fat.
