Exploring the Bidirectional Relationship Between Renal Cell Carcinoma and Chronic Kidney Disease

This study investigates the potential bidirectional relationship between renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and chronic kidney disease (CKD). It highlights how patients undergoing cancer nephrectomy may face an increased risk of developing CKD post-surgery, and conversely, how pre-existing CKD may influence the progression and management of RCC. The findings underscore the importance of monitoring kidney function in cancer patients and suggest that a better understanding of this interplay could improve patient outcomes.
