  2. Introduction • Apple is an American multinational Corporation that designs and sells electronics, computer software, and personal computers. • As of July 2011 Apple has 364 retail stores in thirteen countries.

  3. History of Apple • Apple was started on by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. In 1976, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started their own company.  They called it Apple Computer Company. The reason the name is Apple Computer company is because Steve was on an apple farm with his friends, and he thought a apple was basic and simple. Then he told Steve Wozniak, and he agreed. That is how the company got its name. To start the company they got $1,300 because Steve Jobs sold his mini bus, and Steve Wozniak sold his calculator. 

  4. How the Technology Works • Apple developed its own operating system know as OS X to run there computers on. They have been using this since 2002.

  5. Current ExamplesThe iPod • On October 23, 2001 Apple introduced the iPod digital music player. As of now Apple sells four different iPods. • iPod Shuffle: • iPod Nano: • iPod Classic: • iPod touch:

  6. iPhone • The iPhone first came out to customers on June 29, 2007. The iPhone is basically a mobile phone with a widescreen iPod.

  7. iPad • On January 27, 2010 the iPad was introduced. It offered newspapers, books, photos, movies, TV shows videos, music, word processing documents, games, and most existing iPhone apps.

  8. Future of this Technology • The future of this technology is an Apple TV. It is a software where you can access iTunes on your TV.

  9. Summary • Apple is one of several highly successful companies founded in the 1970s that makes its own products and sells them to consumers.
