  1. HJ philosophy: BUILDING BRIDGESno rock throwing

  2. We build bridges to the culture. We do not throw stones. Stones hurt.Bridges are beautiful.

  3. Hollywood Jesus reviews are not moralistic (legalistic) guides. Instead, we look for opportunities to connect with others and share Christ’s message.* Example: Some Christian review sites are moralistic in tone and focus on “inappropriate” content (swear words, nudity, sexuality, violence, etc) . Although such reviews can be useful as parental guides, they can also give opportunity to cast stones at the writers, artists and even fans. HJ does not feature such “stone throwing” reviews.

  4. *What is Christ’s message? It’s about connecting, not judging. “God loved the world so he gave his one and only Son (Jesus), so that everyone who believes him will not die but would at that point have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world in order to judge the world, but so that the world would be saved through his Son.” --John 3:16-17 (Source)

  5. A Rock Throwing Story from the Bible(John 8:3-11 TSNT Source) THE WOMAN CAUGHT IN ADULTERY

  6. The Religious people wanted to stone her. The Bible scholars and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery ... They said to Jesus, “Teacher, here is a woman caught in the act of adultery. In the Law, Moses commands us to stone such women. So then, what do you have to say about it?”

  7. Jesus did not want her stoned. They said this to trap Jesus, in order to have a reason to accuse him. But Jesus bent down and started writing on the ground with his finger. When they kept asking him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let one of you who is sinless be the first to throw a stone at her.”

  8. Jesus built a bridge. And again he bent over and wrote on the ground. But those who were listening started to leave, one at a time, the oldest ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus said to her, “Lady, where are they? Did anyone condemn you?”

  9. Bottom line: Bridge building is beautiful, respectful and very humanizing. “No one, sir,” she answered. “And I certainly do not condemn you!” Jesus said. “Off you go, don’t sin anymore.”
