  12. PMBOK 5 is here! PMBOK 5 has been published! PMI members can obtain a download copy from PMI.org. Printed copies are available from Amazon or PMI Marketplace. The PMP Exam is scheduled to change on July 31, 2013. NOTE: If you are still studying for your PMP exam, sign up for an exam slot early, it will be hectic in July. 12

  14. PMP EXAM PREP CLASS Is 2013 the year that you’ll earn your PMP? Participate in KCPMI’s PMP Exam Prep classes and you’ll be well on your way to being ready to take the exam. • Next PMP Exam Prep Class • Tuesday & Thursday evenings Feb. 28 to Apr. 11, 2013 • The classes will be located at a Cerner Corporation facility. • This compressed class schedule will provide plenty of time to take the exam before the PMBOK 5 changes take effect on July 31. • Watch the website for details. • Questions??   22. COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS KCPMI will again sponsor two college scholarships; Awards increased to $2,000 each. Qualifications: Applicants must be a member in good standing in the KC Mid-America Chapter of PMI; or the child/grandchild of a member. Applicant is enrolled (or will be enrolled in the fall 2013) at an accredited college or university, seeking a degree (Associate, Bachelor, Masters, PhD) in any academic program. Application Process: Complete the application as found on the PMIEF website at http://www.pmi.org/PMIEF/scholarship/and submit to PMIEF. Deadline for all application materials is June 1, 2013. PMIEF selects the scholarship winners in the early fall. 22
