  11. Thesis: Unacceptable, Acceptable, or Excellent • 1. The First World War affected the entire world although its reach was weaker in some areas than in others. The Middle East was more deeply affected than East Asia. • 2. In the aftermath of WWI, the entire world was a very different place than it had been before the war. In particular the Middle East and East Asia were greatly affected by the conflicts as it caused a fundamental change in the political and economic structures or the regions. • 3. WWI affected the Middle East and South Asia in similar ways. They both formed new countries as a result. They also both lost men to the war.
