  3. Training BOF ? • What ? • A forum to discuss the APNIC training related activities and provide your input • Why ? • To further improve the APNIC training so that it can address the training needs of APNIC members in a better way

  4. Why APNIC Training ? • To assist APNIC members • To educate the APNIC members and the internet community about the Internet Registry policies and procedures • Opportunity to APNIC members to clarify the unclear areas in IP address management • Awareness and Outreach

APNIC Training – Current Status • Training Course • ‘Effective IP address management – Asia Pacific Policies and Procedures’ • Course Overview • Introduction to APNIC • Internet Registry Policies • IP Address Allocation & Assignment Procedures • IP Address Management • APNIC Database Procedures • In-addr.arpa Procedures • AS Assignment Procedures • IPv6 Overview and Policies • Open seminars in conjunction with training

  6. APNIC Training – Current Status • Non profit basis • Subsidised for APNIC members • Duration • One day ( 9.00am – 5.00pm) • Lunch Break ( 1 hour) • 2 Tea Breaks (15 – 30 minutes)
