  2. KXRP Actions Status Next meeting 22/03/12 15.00, Eastern Range Offices.

  3. Executive Summary Safety: • AFR 0.261 and FWI 0.136. There were no RIDDORs, and 3 FATs during the period. There were 82 reported Close Calls of which 1 was significant; a hoist collided with a suspended steel frame, causing cosmetic damage to the hoist. Performance: • There were 5 minutes train performance delays registered in the period, caused by the slow release of a possession, resulting in a train being held outside the station. Project activity: • Project 2: MTSR: Eastern and Western barrels complete up to Bay 25. East and West barrel deck moved to Bay 24 – 40 revealing Southern end of the Trainshed. Deck reinstated and encapsulated on West Barrel. Removal of all huck net and toblerones to south of the footbridge. South Façade works complete and all scaffold removed. North Façade Scaffold erected. STS contract complete with minor outstanding snagging and defects to complete. • Project 3: All platform end monoliths complete. Concourse retail units at end of platforms 5-8 closed. Footbridge lighting complete. • Project 6: Western Concourse: Signage works complete. Thorough clean ongoing ready for opening events. CIP structure in place with M & E services now being fitted. All steel for Taxi Canopy erected. All retail units handed over with 22 retailers currently on site. Vacuum drainage fully operational. Mezzanine toilets commissioning in progress for completion by end of week 1. Western Range: First Class Lounge handed over. Southern Gate Line lighting complete. Booking Hall fit out complete. Public toilets complete. Project 6 won a Special Award at the ICE London Projects Awards Ceremony. • Project 7: Trial holes and utility surveys complete. GRIP 5 design for Square complete. Southern Façade Canopy and South East Stairs design complete. • Project 8: Entry Into Service: Inspection and Handover of all Western Concourse retail units for fit-out. Completion of SCR / TSOS dual running. Decommissioning of TSOS. Successful Trial Operations (scenario test) in Western Concourse. 80% training. • Project 9: Commenced strip out and dismantling of Standard Class Lounge, contingency solution implemented; seating on Platform 8 and use of EC accessible toilets in ER. Removal of BTP building completed. Completed installation of fixed barrier in arches 1-5 for ATGs. Test and commission of all gate lines. Project staff and contractors moved from Cubitt House to Eastern Range. Issues: • Project 2: Revised incentive scheme agreed with Kier. • Project 6: Base fire alarm integration will not be complete prior to 18/3, therefore a contingency plan is in place to allow the retailers to fire up cookers etc for training and event purposes. • Project 8: Reliability of lifts. Planned activities next Period: • Project 2: East barrel deck reinstated and encapsulated. Existing roof stripped out. Northern Façade prepped and painting commenced. • Project 3: Complete concourse tiling, southern façade works, Platform 0 cladding and surfacing works on platform 1 and 8. • Project 6: WCC: Completion of floor and façade works in final sections (OPY area). Commissioning and activation of the permanent fire alarm systems. GNH shutter power supplies to be commissioned and activated. STS: Completion of ceiling containment. Complete installation of Spiral staircase. Complete installation of ceiling. EXTERNAL WORKS: Complete station square works open to the public, handover to Argent. Clearing out of working site 1 and removal of cabins including FCC ticket office. Complete Taxi pick up canopy. WR :Completion of Changing Places, disabled facility and BTP reception. Relocation of TVMs and alteration to wide aisle gate in Southern Gate Line to be completed. • Project 7: Issue GRIP 6 Tender online. Submit signage and CCTV strategy to Camden for discharge of condition. Waterproofing, utilities chamber, subway access design continuing. • Project 8: Approval of SEUS and ROGs documentation. Completion of Travel Centre installation and Southern Square paving. Relocation of EH salvage material. Completion of Taxi drop-off and pick-up area. • Project 9: Complete installation of fixed barriers in MTS and WR. Complete Bar Code functionality on all ticket gates. Asset Handover. Complete strip out of Cubitt House. Start removal of Modular building units by Crane. Complete hard landscaping works at front of station Official Station opening 14th March, with opening for passenger services 18th March.

CORPORATE KPIs Safety: Workforce fatalities & major injuries Contractor: • AFR: 0.261 rolling, FWI: 0.136 rolling • 3 FAT’s • Scaffolder pulled a muscle in his back whilst handling a 21’ scaffold pole. • Injured person suffered a cut to his face as he bent down and struck a roof tie bar causing a cut to his face. No Lost Time. • Injured person hurt his back whilst carrying a radiator. He stood on a bar causing him to fall backwards. 1 day lost time. • 82 reported Close Calls, 1 Significant. Mace goods hoist struck suspended load being lifted by Vinci over Mace site. Minor superficial damage to goods hoist. Deck reinstated and encapsulated on West Barrel. South Façade works complete and all scaffold removed. North Façade Scaffold erected. STS – Contract complete minor outstanding snagging and defects to complete. Planned works for next period: MTSR – East and West Barrel decks reinstated and encapsulated. Existing roof stripped out. MTSR – Northern Facade prepped and painted commenced. STS – Snagging works. Critical Issues: Package 6 to provide permanent power supply to STS lights. Critical Issues: Concourse tiling due for completion on 11th March, which will require careful monitoring. Manufacturing problems with southern façade speaker brackets means mitigation plan may be required. Comms commissioning runs to 14th March. P8 Main Programme Progress: Entry Into Service (EIS) - Inspection and Handover of all WCC Retail units for fit-out.– Phased move of Project staff and contractors from Cubitt house to Eastern Range Building. – Completion of Station Control Room / TSOS dual running. – Successful Trial Operations (scenario test) in the Western Concourse. – Decommissioning of the TSOS. – Occupation and Operational use of East Coast offices in Western Range Building. – Familiarisation tours / Operational Training for tenant staff are ongoing. – Relocation of English Heritage salvage materials is ongoing. Completed removal of BTP. Successful decant from Cubitt House into Kings Cross Eastern Range Building completed; started site mobilisation of contractor for dismantle and removal of Cubitt House – SBR. ATG - Completed installation of fixed barrier in arches 1-5; Test and commission of all gate lines Planned works for next period: Complete installation of fixed barrier and gates in MTS and WR; Complete Bar Code functionality on all ticket gates; Asset Handover to Asset Steward. Complete Strip out of Cubitt House; Start removal of Modular building units by Crane. Complete hard landscaping works at front of station Critical Issues: None Percentage Complete: 93% complete against a planned completion of 93%

Station radio system commissioned, entry into service delayed at request of station. Help Point control equipment commissioned. MTS Help point field asset installation and commissioning completed. Planned works for next period: Complete WRB and WC commissioning activities for CCTV field equipment. Complete STS CCTV and PAVA field asset installation activities. Complete Fire Alarm integration stage 4 and 5. Complete SMS Fire Alarm integration. Complete SMS Help Point integration. Complete SMS CCTV field asset and map configuration. Critical Issues: WRB/WC fire Alarm installation activities have delayed station wide system integration, contingency plans in operation .

  18. P11 Completion PROJECTS ON A PAGE Progress: Project 11 General - Northern Building Grip 5 underway and tender being prepared, M&S temporary occupation commenced. Span Wire Installation – all approvals gained, 2 complete headspan installed, all bonding installed, 1 Gantry 80% removed Welfare Block - contract let Boundary Rationalisation – Contract awarded to fencing contractor and Form B received for points heater cable & OHL gantry leg design underway. Possessions now supported by Network Operations. Planned works for next period: Span Wires – Installation due to be complete within MTS, including removing redundant OLE Structures.. Northern Building - Tender due to be issued (external works scoped and included) and trial hole for lift pit to be undertaken,. Boundary Rationalisation – fencing to be marked out, agreed and installation do to commence / Feeder cable tender prepared and planned to be issued. Welfare block removal, mobilisation will be underway with approved lift plan and WPP’s etc. Critical Issues: Obtaining correct Possessions continues to be arduous but have support from Network Ops – has potential to disrupt progress Northern Building funding from property outstanding due to non agreement from TOC on final location Percentage Complete: 5% complete against a planned completion of 5% Milestones: Complete works on Northern Building January 2013 Complete Span Wire installation April 2012 Complete Boundary Rationalisation May 2012 Complete Downpipes plat 8 OBS area November 2012 Complete STS Drainage November 2012 Complete removal of North Access Deck May 2013 Complete refurbishment of 8/9 canopy September 2013 Complete Removal of Welfare Block June 2012
