  2. KXRP Actions Status Next meeting tbc 15.00, Cubitt House.

  3. Executive Summary Safety: • AFR 0.272  and FWI 0.141. There were 2 minor RIDDORs and 5 FAT’s during the period. There were 100 reported Close Calls of which 1 was significant. Low voltage cable strike whilst carrying out trial holes. Performance: • There were no train performance delays registered in the period.  Project activity: • Project 2: MTSR: Western Barrel glazing, PV and painting complete up to bay 25. Eastern Barrel: Glazing complete up to Bay 19. Clock tower works complete. Additional deck removed. East Gutter complete up to Bay 7, Central Gutter up to Bay 9 and West Gutter up to Bay 8. Southern Façade works continuing with 90 panes of glass installed. • Project 3: OBS facility brought into use. Footbridge tiling complete. New monolith installation commenced. • Project 6: Western Concourse: All, except 4, retail units handed over to the retailers. EDF Energy back-up supply commissioned and handed over. Glazed wall cladding completed. Installation of CCTV completed. Fit-out of toilets at Mezzanine level complete. Western Range: Station Control Room has gone live. NR Station ops have moved into the WRB. Booking Hall fitout ongoing to back offices. East Coast and BTP moved into WRB. • Project 7: Planning consent granted by Camden for King’s Cross Square. Trial holes and utility surveys almost complete. Form B signed-off for Southern Façade doors. Investment authority received for all works. Pre-Qualification questionnaires evaluated. • Project 8: Entry Into Service: Phased occupation of WRB by NR Operations and Tenants. Station Control Room/Offices, Operational use of Driver Simulator & Monitoring office by East Coast. Rail Gourmet Go-Live from the WRB Basement. Training: 20%, Commissioning: 59%, Operational Handover: 25%, Maintenance: 5% • Project 9: All ATG’s installed. BTP moved out of modular building into Western Range. Driver simulator moved into new location in Western Range. Awarded contract for the removal of Cubitt House. Issues: • Project 2: Kier progress on MTSR is an issue and we are keeping pressure on them. • Project 6: Installation of Taxi canopy by opening date at risk. • Project 8: Reliability of lifts. Planned activities next Period: • Project 2: East and West barrel decks relocated to bays 24 – 40, revealing a further 8 bays. Northern façade scaffold erected and works commenced. Southern façade works completed and scaffold cleared. • Project 3: Complete concourse tiling and all platform end monoliths. • Project 6: WC: Complete the ceiling on the mezzanine including the north and south stairs. External works: Station Square complete and handed over to Argent. Public Realm works to be completed. Main entrance works on-going.WR: Handover and tenants to be moved in. Snagging and inspections ongoing. Southern gate line vehicle gate to be installed. • Project 7: Completion of GRIP 5 design for Southern Façade Canopy and South East Stairs. King’s Cross Square Grip 5 design complete. Issue tender online for Grip 6 works. • Project 8 Entry Into Service: SEUS Documentation for WRB approved. Commencement of remaining retail fit-out. • Project 9: Decant of Cubitt House to Eastern Range complete. Opening of Temporary Standard Class Lounge in Western southern gateline. Complete removal of BTP building. Test and commission all gatelines. Official Station opening 14th March, with opening for passenger services 19th March.

CORPORATE KPIs Safety: Workforce fatalities & major injuries Contractor: • AFR: 0.272 rolling, FWI: 0.141 rolling • 2 Minor RIDDORs • A lift engineer sustained cuts requiring stitches after a hydraulic hose burst causing it to "whip." He visited the on site OH who advised hospital treatment • An operative slipped on accessing the Eastern Barrel Roof and twisted his knee. He attended University College Hospital X -Ray revealed cartilage damage. • 5 FAT’s • Injury to eye after wiping his eye whilst wearing contaminated gloves • Injury to leg after coming into contact with scaffold tube • Rolled ankle on scaffold fitting • Damaged hand whilst moving scaffold • Twinge to back during lifting operation • 100 reported Close Calls, 1 Significant. A cable was struck during trial hole excavation works on the station forecourt area. Planned works for next period: Engage with Carillion to ensure remaining snags closed out Critical Issues: Remaining defect works to be completed. Quality of works completed to date not acceptable Percentage Complete: 100% complete against a plan of 100% Milestones: All Major Milestones achieved

  9. PROJECT ON A PAGE P2 Main Train Shed Roof Progress: MTSR - Western Barrel; Glazing, PV and painting complete up to Bay 25. Eastern Barrel; Glazing complete up to Bay 19 with scheduled completion up to bay 25 including PV and painting. East Gutter complete up to Bay 7, Central Gutter complete up to Bay 9 and West Gutter complete up to Bay 8. Lower Walkway support brackets currently being installed to Bay 24 and will be completed prior to both decks moved in Period 12. Clock Tower works complete. Glazing bars installed and 90 panes of glass installed. NR/Kier progress meetings continue to be held on a weekly basis. STS – roof works complete. Tactiles complete. Internal brickwork continuing. Western Boundary Brickwork complete. Furniture painting complete. Works to be snagged. Planned works for next period: MTSR – East and West Barrels deck relocated to bays 24 – 40. Northern Façade Scaffold erected and works commenced to Northern Façade. South Façade complete with scaffold cleared. STS – Snagging works. Critical Issues: Week 47 possessions have now changed from 0 - 3 to 1 - 4 which will impact the ‘huck net’ and ‘toblerones’ removal. Southern Facade on target for completion by 21 February 2012 (includes completion of Clock Tower works and scaffold dismantling) Package 6 to provide permanent power supply to STS lights. Percentage Complete: 80% complete against a planned completion of 90% Milestones: Existing Decks moved to final location 28th Feb 12 Complete Southern Façade works and associated works to Bay 24 21st Feb 12 Completion of Roof Works 30th Jun 12 Access Decks removed from site 23rd Jun 12

Critical Issues: Interfaces with other projects need to be fully detailed and understood to allow the opening to be a success. Production of contract deliverables 50% complete. Paving trial panel completed. Planned works for next period:King’s Cross Square: Southern Façade Canopy / South East Stairs GRIP 5 design 100% complete. King’s Cross Square GRIP 5 design 100% complete. Pre-Qualification questionnaires for Grip 6 works evaluated and scores confirmed. Trial Holes and Utilities surveys complete. Production of contract deliverables 100% complete. Station Control Room / Offices, Operational use of Driver Simulator & Monitoring office by East Coast, Operational use of BTP offices in the WRB. Rail Gourmet go operational from WRB basement. Familiarisation tours / Operational Training for tenant staff are ongoing. Commenced Fit-Out of 11 Retail Units. Relocation of English Heritage salvage materials is ongoing. Planned works for next period: Maintainers’ Training – Trial Operations (Scenario Test) in the Western Concourse (WCC). Approval of SEUS Documentation for WRB. Commencement of remaining Retail Fit-Out. East Coast moves into their offices in WRB. Completion of Travel Centre Installation. Southern Square Paving. Relocation of English Heritage salvage materials. Critical Issues: Completion of M & E installations to enable Maintainers’ Training. H&S and O&M Documentation for Station handover. Reliability of lifts / heating in the Travel Centre. PROJECTS ON A PAGE Percentage Complete: 87% complete against a planned completion of 87% Next Anticipated IP Submission: None required Project 8 acts as the umbrella for the programme management team OPEX, stakeholder management cost/compensation required under the various agreements and consents processes with external stakeholders, team accommodation and specialist support activity.

  15. P9 Enabling & Logistics PROJECTS ON A PAGE Progress: PRG reviewed ATG pedflow and safety verification case. Completed installation of footbridge ATG’s - All ATG’s are now installed. Completed Test & Commission of ATG’s on arches 4-5. Permanent Power to ATG's Comms room. Power and Comms for ATG’s in arches 1- 3 transferred to new Comms room in West tower. Started Pilot Testing / Staff training in Western range. BTP has moved out of the modular building into the Western Range. Driver simulator moved into new location in WR. Preparation works started in connection with decant moves from Cubitt House. Painting of offices in Eastern Range. Installed racking in OBS. Ice machine in OBS moved. Awarded contract for the removal of Cubitt House (delay due to technical issues from London bridge team). Completed decant of Rail Gourmet from Cubitt House into Western Range Basement. Planned works for next period: First phase of Cubitt House move to ER, and ISA 1 and ISA 2 moves. Opening of Temporary Standard Class Lounge in the Western southern gate line. Commence Strip out of SCL. Complete removal of BTP building. Complete both phases of Decant into ER building. Start of site mobilisation of SBR for Cubitt House Removal. Complete installation of blast resistant glass in MTS and WR. Test and commission of all gate lines. Critical Issues: None Percentage Complete: 90% complete against a planned completion of 90%

Fire Alarm integration stages 1 and 2 completed. WRB and WCC PAVA field equipment commissioning activities completed, CCTV ongoing. SMS Drop 2 SIP commissioning completed; Planned works for next period: Complete WRB Fire Alarm commissioning activities. Complete WRB and WCC commissioning activities for CCTV field equipment. Complete Fire Alarm integration stage 3 and 4. Complete SMS Fire Alarm development. Complete Help Point control equipment commissioning Critical Issues: WRB/WCC fire Alarm installation activities still behind schedule, contingency plans in operation.

  17. P11 Completion PROJECTS ON A PAGE Progress: Project 11 General - Northern Building Grip 4 Presentation from ARUP on Friday 3rd Feb. Span Wire Installation - Contract let to Border Rail. Possessions booked and design underway. Removal of Welfare Block transferred to Project 11- by 1st June 2012. Boundary Rationalisation – Walkout held with Argent and fencing contractor site visit has been arranged. Planned works for next period: Span Wires - Commence Installation within MTS, including removing redundant OLE Structures. Northern Building - Arup’s to deliver Grip 5. Prepare tender documentation and issue. Boundary Rationalisation – fencing contract awarded. Critical Issues: Span Wires - ROGS approval from CIP required to progress. Border Rail to issue Form B for review. Northern Building external work and STS permanent lighting still requires transferring to P11.
