  1. ElieWeisel and Oprah Visit Auschwitz In responding to your prompt, you may use whatever format you would like (letter, poem, etc.). Write from the perspective of the person/concept you have chosen. There is no right or wrong way to do this, but you must make sure that the point of view is appropriate to your choice. • SonderKommandos: Write a letter to your family explaining why you agreed to take this job at Auschwitz? • The SS: You are a member of the SS working the gas chambers- take on this voice and describe a day at work. • Death: You are Death coming daily to take your subjects from Auschwitz. How do you choose whom to take? Why? What is your motivation? • Weisel’s Father: Imagine you are Weisel’s father who died while at Auschwitz. If you could talk to your son, what would you say to him? How would you feel about his life after surviving Auschwitz?
