Evaluation of MAP and Chill Effects on Mango Storage Quality

This demonstration experiment conducted by Mr. Lam Ngeunh Phakaysone, Mr. Nilaphay Phaxayaseng, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, Ms. Khin Myint Kywe, and Mr. Yang Wanlin focuses on the impact of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) combined with chilling temperatures on mango storage quality. The study involved various treatments, including MAP with and without chill, and evaluated quality through color and weight metrics. Results indicate that for short-term storage (less than 1 week), treatments T2 and T3 are effective, while T1 (MAP with chill) is optimal for long-term storage.

  6. RECOMMENDED • For short time storage (< 1 week): no significant differcence of T1, T2 and T3. then we can apply either T2 (with MAP no chill), or T3(no MAP with chill) . • For long time storage, best application is T1(MAP+chill)
