Cover work for OJK (Mrs Olejnik) Design and Technology Downend School Wednesday 6th January Year 8 TASK 1: Using the internet research ideas for the design of your bookends Things to do: find at least 4 images which you think would look good on your bookend what are your opinions of them Save images in either word, publisher or powerpoint, which ever you prefer. Please make sure your name is on your work and hand in to me next time I see you. Task 2: Use the internet to research the finger joint (also sometimes known as the comb joint). You can use technologystudent.com then RESISTANT MATERIALS if you are struggling. Again produce one sheet of info with images and text describing the finger joint, why is it a good joint to use and where and when is it used on furniture. If anyone completes all of this you can design an advertising poster to sell your desk tidy (on A4 paper please)
