  3. Authorized Person Overview: This course offers an awareness of the issues involved with fall protection. A focus on the theory of fall protection and the need to protect workers at height highlights this informative seminar. Participants are introduced to the legislation governing fall protection as well as the components of a fall protection system including body holding devices, anchorages, connectors and rescue.Upon successful completion of this course the student will receive a certificate acknowledging they have met or exceeded OSHA, ANSI and CSA requirements as an Authorized Person.

Authorized Person Topics Discussed: • Fall hazard recognition • Fall hazard elimination and controls methods • Applicable fall protection regulations • The responsibilities of designated persons under this standard • How to use written fall protection procedures • Inspection of equipment components and systems before use • Fall protection rescue procedures

  6. Competent Inspector Duration: 4-Hour Course This course designed for employees who will be assigned a task to work at heights, issued fall protection equipment and required to inspect their equipment.

Competent Inspector Overview: This is a comprehensive inspection course which after completion will allow those responsible for the inspection of Fall protection equipment to make educated decisions on the suitability for use.  The training will also include Standards and regulations, incorporating what they require and how they relate to the inspection process. Upon successful completion of this course the student will receive a certificate acknowledging they have met or exceeded OSHA, ANSI and CSA requirements as an Competent Inspector.
