This lesson plan aims to educate students about the caste system's origins and its relation to Hindu beliefs, such as karma, reincarnation, and dharma. Through reading and discussion, students will explore how caste structures influence social hierarchies and discrimination. They will analyze examples of systemic discrimination while relating these concepts to modern societal issues. By the end, students will have created a list of the five "worst" jobs in contemporary American society, considering their implications and societal perceptions.
