INTRODUCTION In order to help the local owner operated retail outlets (LOOROs) with their digitalization and by that their competitiveness in respect to larger companies such as Amazon, Simul Operantes proposes to test the delivery solution called “BIDE”, which stands for bike delivery. Using a geo-tagging platform connecting LOOROs with bikers in the nearby area, “BIDE” makes same day delivery for LOOROs simple and cheap. The platform is also a way for the LOOROs to become more digitalized since the customers place their orders directly on the IT platform. Deliveries by bicycle are also environmentally sustainable, not polluting the crowded city centers and being socially sustainable, thus providing easy work opportunities for citizens, CUSTOMERS

BIKERS • Bikers refers to the people in charge of delivering products from the LOOROs physical store to the customers’ shipping address and vice versa • Requirements: necessary work permits + doctor’s note • Value Proposition: they utilize and provide their own bicycles for our delivery service • Co-creation Activities: • Pick up items from LOORO + deliver to customer shipping address • Pick up return items from customer shipping address + deliver to LOORO • Actor Costs: oversee the maintenance and upgrades of their own bicycles • Actor Benefits: • 75% shipping fee • Employment opportunities • Health benefits BIKERS Employment opportunities, Health benefits + 75%Shipping fee Maintenance and upgrades of bikes Pick ups and delivery of items Provide own bicycle BIDE
