  2. Calamity Jane - A tall tale • Calamity Jane was one of my favorite tall tales because she was a woman who knew how to do gun tricks and was in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show.

  3. Anansi the Spider • This is one of my favorite tall tales because it’s about a spider who always tries to get something for nothing. It’s very funny that he gets himself into hairy situations and he still never learns his lesson!

  4. Arkansas Traveler • Arkansas Traveler is a favorite of mine. First because it comes with a song that was written to go along with it, but also because it is set in the mountains at a cabin and the wilderness is my favorite place to be.
