  1. En-Route Working GroupReport Out 18 Dec 2013

  2. DCIT En-Route Documentation Production • Good progress on two packages • TOC/IC • Route modifications • Deliveries • Initial delivery: 28 Feb 2014 • Detailed and synched to the level of the FAA Use Cases • End-to-End documents (above two) • Too early for Flight Deck and SDD • Second delivery, detailed definitions • Detailed and synched to the level of FAA A-level specifications • Detailed messaging, route clearance generation, off-nominal cases, etc. • End-to-End documents, Flight Deck Guidance, SDD • 9/14: NSDA and Initial FAA Domestic En-route Services

  3. En-route Trials • Engineering trials, summer 2014, are useful • Eng Trials satisfy only a sub-set of the agreed DCIT objectives • Industry endorses the engineering trials, but would like to work with the Data Comm Program Office on further validation • Include extensibility in the trials (e.g. add TOC/IC for inter-center trials, both at the boundaries of NAS-domestic and inside NAS-domestic) • Further explore validation activities beyond engineering trials • Additional validation activities, defined in 1st half of 2014 • Early IOC Key Site activites • Observing FAA objectives on managing requirements creep • Observing FAA objectives on no jeopardizing operational ERAM deployment through trials systems deployment(s)

  4. Future work organization • Excellent progress on DCL end-to-end this last few meetings • With Operational DCL End-to-End getting to mature draft, need to re-establish WGs • Flight Deck to begin working FD Guidance Material from end-to-end • SIT to review Interface Requirements Document(s) and determine if SIDD needed • ATC and AOC working group needs TBD • Combined Working Group sessions to be added back, rather than combining this with the OMWG • We also are nearing the need for this in En-Route, so timing is just right • Allows OMWG to get back to more like the weekly telecons • Focused on operational trials management issues and direction • Participants focused on operational issues, not drafting and WG issues
