  1. Welcome to K-2! Mrs. Adez- Teacher Aide: Mrs. Silguero

  2. Schedule Morning Schedule 8:00am to 11:20am Classroom open for drop-off at 7:50am Afternoon Schedule 11:25am to 2:45pm Playground gate open for drop-off at 11:15

  3. Drop-off and Pick-up AM Drop-off: Students may be dropped off at the student drop off zone, east of the MPR. (After 7:35 am) Or, park and walk your child to the kindergarten playground gate. (Kindergarten gate opens at 7:50.) After 8:00 am, children must be walked to the office. AM Pick-up: Park and pick your child up at the gates near the B Building. Please be on-time! After 10 minutes, children will be walked to the office ☺ Note: Plans may change on inclement weather days.

  4. Where can I park? Best to walk to school Legal Parking Banyan Ave West side of Bluegrass (south of the drive-way) Day Creek Park

  5. Please do not park… Anywhere along the east drop-off curb. On the east side of Blue Grass • On the west side of Blue Grass north of the drive-way • In the staff parking lot

  7. Communication Absences: Please notify the school attendance line. Early pick-up: Must sign your child out in the office. Teacher: Send a note E-mail angie_adez@etiwanda.org Sorry, I cannot take phone calls during the school day. Register for Remind.com ( I will send out brief text messages as reminders.)

  9. Supplies Suggested supply list All items are for general classroom use Please do not label items with individual student names(except folders, lunch pails, and backpacks)

  10. Snack Recess 20 minutes for snack and playtime Please pack healthy food items Children should be able to open items independently No toys please!

  11. Allergies? Health Problems? Please letme know if your child has any food allergies or health problems. Medication forms are available in the office

  12. Appropriate Clothing Comfortable for movement activities. Suitable for art and painting. Safe shoes for running and playing. No open toes, and shoes must have a back strap. Please label all items on the outside!

  14. Homework On-line Golden Kindergarten Website Posted each Friday Due the following Friday.

  15. Flash Cards Letters Sounds Sight Words Word Families Your child should always have two sets of flashcards at home. Please work on these nightly as part of your child’s homework routine. Return the note to school when he/she is ready to be tested.

  18. Star of the Week Class Buddy Journal Poster Guessing Jar * Chosen at random. Every child will have the opportunity to be Star of the Week.

  19. School-wide recognition program for students who demonstrate outstanding character development. Character Counts

  20. A simple way for teachers and students to record and share what's happening in the classroom. Each student gets their own journal and will add things to it, like photos, videos, drawings, or notes. • Seesaw Intro Video

  22. Birthdays Due to our limited instructional time and the ESD Wellness policy… Treats will no longer be a part of student birthday celebrations. Children’s birthdays will be celebrated in class with each teacher acknowledging birthdays in a special way. Parents are asked not to send anything in for birthdays. (This is a school-wide policy.)
