The Pasadena City Council convened on August 19, 2019, to discuss the Urban Wildlife Management Plan. This plan aims to guide city staff in addressing wildlife concerns while ensuring public safety and promoting wildlife protection. It focuses primarily on coyotes but applies to all wildlife that may pose health risks. The plan includes public education on coexisting with wildlife, enforcement of feeding regulations, and a coordinated approach with state and local agencies. An environmental analysis determined that the plan would have no significant impact, leading to the adoption of a negative declaration under CEQA.
