  3. Necessary Components The components below have to be installed : > QJ71E71-100 > Web Server > Web Server Software > Communication library > ASP file > HTML file > Web Browser > Internet Explorer 4.0

  4. The Ethernet Interface Module Settings for the Ethernet module in GX IEC Developer : PLC Parameter => MELSECNET / Ethernet :

Web Server Software Betriebssystem Internet Information Server 5.0 (IIS5.0) Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Operating System Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Operating System Internet Information Server 4.0 (IIS4.0) Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Operating System Personal Web Server 4.0 (PWS4.0) Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Operating System Microsoft Windows 98 Operating System The Web Server On the PC which should work as Web-Server has to be installed a Web-Server-Software ! If the OS on the PC is Win NT 4.0 it must be installed Service Pack 3 or higher and the Option Pack (Microsoft Homepage) !

  6. The Web Server The Web Server is a computer in which the Web Server software operates. It is necessary to set up the following files in the Web Server in order to use the Web Function : 1. Communication Library The „qeaccess-e.exe“ is a self-decompressing file! 2. HTML files for the Web browser 3. ASP files for the PLC access

  7. The Web Server How to set up the communication library on the Web Server : 1. Decompressing the qeaccess-e.exe file Move the compressed file to any folder and decompress it. The following shows the structure after decompressing: _qj71e71 > _asp > _dll > _img 2. Copying the files Copy the decompressed folder ( _qe71e71 ) under the root folder „\Inetpub\wwwroot“ of the Web Server.

  8. The Web Server 3. Registering the communication library ( DLL file ) Register the DLL file in the OS registry of the Web Server. For Win 98 use : „set path=C:\windows\system“ as Register path !

  9. The Web Browser The Web browsers whose compatibility has been verified as follows : 1. Internet Explorer 4.0 (or later) or Netscape Communicator 4.05 (or later) 2. Web-Server and Web-Browser have to connected via a local network (Intranet) or via the Internet network (public line) ! Consult with a network installer, an Internet service provider and a network administrator !

  10. The Web Browser The Web-Browser can load the HTML files stored on the Web-Server ! In the folder „\Inetpub\wwwroot\_qj71e71“ are the following samples : > dev_read.html > dev_write.html > foot.html > index.html > menu.html > proxy_set.html > req_cmd.html > rmt_run.html > rmt_stop.html
