  5. “Grab Bag” Activity • You are going to grab a slip of paper from this sack • After testing, you will create a poster which “illustrates” your word (draw BIG, cover the entire poster) • You can not use any words – only pictures and illustrations • You will present your poster to the class today ABSORPTION REFLECTION TRANSMISSION REFRACTION

  6. Light • Please clear off your desk except for a pencil • Start when you receive your quiz (20 min limit) • When you finish, begin working on your poster • No talking, No exceptions

  7. Trade and grade • We will now Trade and Grade • Trade your quiz with your table partner • We will go through the answers as a class

  8. TRADE AND GRADE • If the answer is right, check it If the answer is wrong, do nothing You should only be writing check marks for correctly answered questions

  9. Trade and grade • Total all the check marks • Write this number at the top of the quiz (example = 9) • This is the number of correct answers out of 10 total questions • The score is 9/10 (or 90%)

  10. Tracking • Goal = 85% Mastery • Remember our classroom expectations – be respectful and no inappropriate comments • Trade back now ( you should now have your own quiz)
