Opportunities • Mutual support for NC’s on AnGR initiatives • Follow-up to SoW CRs at European level • Co-operation on European conservation • Co-operation on national/international databases • Influencing national and EU policy on AnGR
Threats • Lack of appropriate project ideas from NCs = • Reduction in future donor funding • Imbalance between EU & non-EU members • Not focusing where conservation needs are greatest
Regional Actions • Annual Workshop - Rome 2003 • Development of ERFP Web-site • Co-ordination of policy on AnGR to advise international bodies - EU, COP, CGRFAA • establish closer working relationship with international NGOs (RBI, SAVE, DAGENE, FAIP etc) • create working groups to deliver the above
