Sample Preparation • Hot Plate- insufficient heat to weld plastics together without melting & warping exterior layers, variable temperature • Oven- insufficient heat to weld plastics together, variable temperature • Iron- variable temperature but only manner that works- needed a movable heat source to join plastics together, measured temperature with a thermocouple

Next Steps in Water pressure testing Higher water pressure • Force of 40 gallons of water: 392N • Pressure of 40 gallons of water on a 5/8” diameter tube: 2MPA ≈ 300psi Longer pressure tests • Can the seal withstand days of pressure? Effects of chlorine and impurities in the water on the seal • Chlorination in the clean water system • Dirt and sand in the water
