The STEF-NANO-ACC project, coordinated by Zbigniew Turek, aims to boost participation of teams from New Member States in FP6 projects, focusing on nanomaterials and production. With a budget of €100,000, the project encourages scientific cooperation across borders, involving partners from Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Cyprus, Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Netherlands. Key activities include seminars, conferences, and the establishment of a project idea database, fostering opportunities for young scientists and enhancing collaboration with non-EU countries like the USA and Ukraine.
