  3. Prepare to Apply • Download application package Check receipt dates, applicant requirements Letter of intent? Online? Paper? Register? • Contact Admin.Officer or Grants Manager 4 weeks prior to due date

  4. Proposal Development • Title • Abstract • Key Personnel Determine available effort • Other Significant Contributors Obtain Letters of Support • Budget • Resources Institutional resources: Core resources, clinical facilities etc.

  5. Forms and Protocols Internal forms • Proposal Transmittal Form Signed by PI, PI Dept Chair; CRC, Hospital as needed; Dept Chair of all Key Personnel • Conflict of Interest Form Signed by PI and all Key Personnel on Federal Grants • Budget Internal budget submitted with all proposals, even modular
