  2. Summarizing the story • The Israeli army has taken over Palestinians land. The Israeli army has caused nothing but terror and destruction in there land. The army has blown up peoples homes and they shoot and kill innocent Palestinian people. They shot a 12 year old boy named Hakim. Hakim got shot 15 times in the legs just because Hakim was throwing rocks at the solders. Hakim has pins in his legs and cant move. He has lie in a hospital bed on his back all day every day. Hakims legs are in big cast's. Hakim cant go anywhere.

  3. MY Questions • How old was hakim when he got shot 15 times? • How many Palestinians were killed by the Israeli army?

  4. Answers to my questions • Hakim was 12 when he go shot. I found that answer in the reading. • Thousands of Palestinians were killed and injured by the Israeli army. Manny of the wounded and killed were kids. I found that answerer on the internet and in the reading.

  5. My reaction • I was shocked that the Israeli solders shot and and killed kids just for throwing rocks at them. I felt bad for 12 year old Hakim who got shot in the legs 15 times, I felt bad that he has to go through a lot of pain and he has metal pins in his legs so he can walk. It would suck to be crippled and in pain and to not be able to move.

  6. Do I agree with the young person in the story • Yes I do agree with Hakim. If I were him I would be mad that there is Israeli solders try to take over my country and killing my people.

  9. What I think would be a good solution to the situation. • I think a good solution would be for the Palestinians is to not fight back and not use violence as much as possible and try to negotiate with the Israeli army and try to get them to leave.
