  3. Business Situation and Objectives • Client success + Microsoft contract = growth • Objectives: • Access engineering talent • Cost advantaged • Compress project time using multiple time zones • English language proficiency, cultural alignment • Increase presence in Europe markets

  4. Selection Process • Looked at India, China, Poland, Serbia • Narrowed to Serbia • Confirmed fit using the U.S. Commercial Services Gold Key service

  5. Phase I Deployment • Hired core team using local psychologist/HR specialist • Secured office space, deployed infrastructure • equipment, networks, internet, security, etc. • Software development processes and skills training • Established Merit Solutions d.o.o. • ‘Lights on’ January 1, 2006

  6. Current Status: Challenges • Missed on key local relationships for legal and accounting, resulting in delays to legal and financial processes/ milestones

  7. Future Plans • Phase II expansion (June, 2006) • Doubling the size of our Belgrade team • Expanding skills and qualifications (QA, Project Management, additional technology qualifications) • Phase II infrastructure improvement • Phase III (2007) • Europe market export expansion
