  2. OBNOVLJIVI IZVORI ENERGIJE - ENERGIJA BUDUĆNOSTI RENEWABLE ENERGY – THE ENERGY OF THE FUTURE Climate changes and rapid growing demands for energy supplies, due to the constant growth of world population, increased attention that is being given to renewable energy systems ( wind power, solar energy and other renewable sources) World reserves of non-renewable energy sources are already very reduced. They are finite and they will be depleted some day Renewable energy technologies are clean sources of energy that have a much lower environmental impact than conventional energy technologies. Nonrenewable sources of energy produce harmful green house gases which contribute global warming. Problem globalnog zatopljavanja, zagađivanja životne okoline i povećana potreba za energijom traže hitna rješenja u vidu korištenja obnovljivih izvora energije. www.mostargis.ba

  3. ZAŠTO ULAGATI U OBNOVLJIVE IZVORE ENERGIJE ? WHY IS RENEWABLE ENERGY A GOOD INVESTMENT? • Protecting the environment - Renewable technologies are clean sources of energy • Optimal use of these resources minimize environmental impacts and produce minimum secondary wastes • Energy efficiency • Sustainability • Economy • Competitiveness • Renewable sources of energy boost economic growth and increase job opportunities • Security of supply - Infinite resources • Zaštita okoliša - Nema štetnih utjecaja na okolinu - Ne uzrokuje klimatske promjene • Energetska učinkovitost • Energetska održivost • Ekonomski faktori • Ekonomska konkurentnost konvencionalnim izvorima energije • Minimalni troškovi održavanja • Osigurano tržište • Sigurnost opskrbe www.mostargis.ba

According to numerous anylizes and researches, City of Mostar and its wider region represents the area with the greatest potential in Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of energy production from renewable energy sources: solar and wind power • From the point of climate, Mostar is the warmest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with aproximately 2285 sunny hours in one year. Also, with its local wind systems (“Bora”, etc.), it offers great possibilities for implementation of wind power plants and facilities Latest studies and researches in this sector has been made in order to help in preparation of long term planning documents. Based on that researches, planning documents define the best loactions – micro and macro, for placing and development of solar power systems and wind farms. www.mostargis.ba
