Napoleon’s Empire Crumbled • Napoleon was Defeated, forced to abdicate in 1814 • Escaped, was finally defeated again at Waterloo by the British, 1815 • Congress of Vienna (1814-1815) restored former monarchs and boundaries for the victors.
