UNIFORMS TRAINING & WARM UP TOPS for SENIOR FIELD UMPIRES Grey training top (or white match day warm up top) to be worn at training White top to be worn match day at ¾ time warm up (or GFUL tracksuit top in cold weather) No exceptions, be predictable to your peers Loss of two training points for non compliance

Skills 1 May Set kick control; pay, set, go in the MZ Team rules, be predictable to your peers • Strong whistle • PAY - Indication clear, confident and concise • SET the kick where the mark or free kick took place, taking note if the kicker has the ball and, if not, be observant how the footy is returned to him (50m penalty if ball not returned to the kicker on the full or if there is a delay in returning the footy) Clear the 5m protected area • GO – (i) adjust your position to be midway between the kicker and catcher - (ii) adjust your position to be 12-15m side on with your back to the major if the next act of play is likely to leave the MZ 6 second move along • 3 blasts of your whistle • Swinging arm indication and verbal communication for the kicker to bring the ball into play • Play on call and indication if the kicker has not brought the ball back into play
