  2. Here’s a preview of the 220 hour SAR Academy

  3. Technical rescue training, 10 classroom hours …

  4. That finishes with a full-day field exercise.

  5. First Aid & CPR Courses

  6. providing Title 22 First Aid & Professional Rescuer CPR certifications

  7. During field exercises you will train with the different specialized units Including . . . .

  8. The Mounted Unit

  9. The Canine Unit

  10. THE MOTORIZED UNIT

  11. You’ll learn radio communication skills…

  12. and work with Mobile Command 1

  13. There will be training in helicopter ops . . . .

  14. And field exercises including hot loads . . . .

  16. You will learn map & compass and …

  17. practice it in the field

  18. Man Tracking will teach you to cut for sign and look for clues .

  19. Survival skills will teach you to improvise shelters,

  20. carry the right equipment,

  21. & pack it all well for a night out!

  22. Living out of your field pack for 24 hours includes…

  23. Making a shelter . . . .

  24. & sleeping out with your field team.

  25. Survivors are treated to breakfast the next morning!

  26. Field exercises will be in the desert...
