  1. Uploading your page via FTP

  2. FTP • FTP means file transfer protocol. It is a way to upload your documents to a web server from virtually anywhere. • All you need is a computer with an internet connection and Internet Explorer 6.0+

  3. FTP • Open Internet Explorer.

  4. FTP To login to the FTP server type the address in your browser’s address location as shown.

  5. Type your last name first initial and your password. This should be the same as your local network login. FTP

  6. Now your folder is open FTP

  7. To copy items to an FTP location simply drag and drop any item like you would to a regular folder. It may take some time to copy depending on your connection speed. FTP

  8. View your page • Open your page in both Internet Explorer and Firefox to verify formatting. • Simply open Internet Explorer or Firefox and go to File => Open. • Double check for any inconsistencies you may want to edit.

  9. All done! • You know everything you need to in order to work on a webpage from a remote location (like from home). • Have fun and add anything you want to your new page now that you know how!
