Curtailment Timing Discussion August 2013 ISAS Meeting Kathy Anderson
Timing of Curtailments • A discussion was recently conducted among some western Transmission Providers. The question was raised: when do you perform your curtailments when a path is overscheduled? • Many replied after xx:40. Some thought that was too late as it didn’t provide them customer time to resubmit to another path.
Timing of Curtailments • The group thought it was a good idea to bring it to ISAS to have a general discussion. NOTE: This will not standardize anything, it is for discussions only. • Question: What would the market prefer? If the transmission provider knew the path was overscheduled, how far in advance do you want curtailments?
