  1. Happy Monday! • Please turn in your reflection to the correct hour basket. • Please take the handout from the table. • Please find your group for today. • Please get out your chapter on “Theme.” • You should hold on to your books for another week or so.

  2. Outcomes • Learn and understand more about group presentations on The Kite Runner and Things Fall Apart. • Understand more about theme

  3. Homework • I will give you your presentation group assignments. I tried my best to put you with someone you wanted, but it didn’t always work out that way. • Reread and review your section of your assigned novel. You will become an expert on it for your presentation. I will hand back MWDS tomorrow. • Reread chapter on “Theme” if needed.

  6. Theme work • Using your chapter on theme, you and your group will decide on the most important ideas from your section. Write 3 sentences to sum up your section. Put your sentences on the paper I give you. Write neatly and bigger than normal. You will put these on the doc camera. • Group 1 pages 155-157 (top of page) • Group 2 pages 157-158 (thru top paragraph) • Group 3 pages 158-159 (top of page) • Group 4 pages 159-160 (top of page) • Group 5 pages 160-161 (thru top paragraph) • Group 6 pages 161-162
