  1. wired (tentative title) Orisha Burns

  2. wired • The piece that I am making is a texturized painting • It will be wall mounted in an area of the exhibit • The purpose of this painting is to explore if and how technology might be to close to our lives, an invasion. It represents my personal opinion of the direction I see technology going.

  3. wired • The piece will consist mainly of acrylic paint but I will also be using other materials to make parts of it look more three dimensional, such as wire, fabric, etc. • The painting presents my personal opinion of the direction of technology although I do not want to completely present a negative standpoint but instead interestingly convey a what-could-be future scenario and allow viewers to draw their own conclusions.

  4. wired • The painting has three has three subjects that are the main focus. There will be other subjects but they will not be as noticeable or interesting as the three in the foreground. One is human while the other two only appear to be but have electronic additions. • There will be an interactive component to the painting. The unveiling of one android will be left up to the viewer if she notices or feels comfortable touching the painting.

  5. wired • I plan to incorporate a few painting techniques (ex impasto) for the overall foundation and incorporate materials to add shape to the piece. Another addition I really want to include is some aspect of interactive technology, even of it is the most simple kind. • I think the inclusion of technology would make the most logical sense (given the class) and also to further the concept of technology and how close it has become to our lives. • Thoughts?
