Objectives • To update the existing BASA/SIPs between the FAA and UK CAA , Swiss FOCA to reflect changes to… • Qualification standards • Evaluation procedures • Include initial as well as recurrent evaluations • Produce updated Model SIP and SIP working plan for other NAAs use • To ease the current logistically impossible burden of required inspections of USA based TRTO corporate and business jet simulators

  4. What has been done • SIP Phase 1 System Familiarisation Documents • Drafts compiled and exchanged • Comparison documents produced • AC120-40B & JAR-STD 1A Ammd 2

FAA/JAA NAA Comparison Documents Produced • Simulator General Requirements • Evaluation Procedures • Objective Tests • Functional & Subjective Tests • These differences will be used as a reference in determining the special conditions to be listed in the revised Simulator Implementation Procedures documents.

  6. Schedule to Completion • Revision of SIP agreements. • The FAA will track the revisions to the SIP documents and, after the special conditions are completed and agreed to by the authorities, prepare individual revised SIP for signature with the FOCA and the UK CAA by JUNE 2004
