  2. Initiative – Develop a plan to increase the number of members attending state meetings. • Email calendar of meetings at beginning of the year and place on website. • Email out meeting reminders two weeks and then again in one week before the meeting. • Have teleconferences every other month. • All members names who attend a state meeting, will be submitted for a drawing held twice a year (June and December) for a split membership to ENA – 1/2

  3. Initiative – Support ENAF through donations. • Give a minimum of $1 per member per year. • Have a pass the hat at each meeting • Participate in the ENAF State Challenge • Donate Jewelry to ENAF Auction • Encourage Chapters to donate $1 per member per year and/or have their pass the hat at each meeting.

  4. Initiative – Increase the number of state courses of TNCC, ENPC, CEN review and Triage. • Provide a $1,000 scholarship for Scientific Assembly for the chapter who puts on the most state courses between January 2011 and July 2011 to give away to a member. • Have board members offer themselves as instructors at least once throughout the year at no charge.

  5. Initiative – Increase overall membership of SCENA • Send letters to those whose memberships have expired encouraging them to join again. • Have each chapter President create a listing of each hospital, the nurse manager of the ED and contact info. Send information regarding ENA to them at least quarterly. • Send letters to the nursing schools around the state to gain interest and student nurse members. • Contact SC-SNA regarding state conference speaking opportunities.

  6. Initiative – Continue to maintain our website, SC-ENA.ORG • Link the website to National when possible. • Maintain the website on a monthly basis. • Include the quarterly newsletter on the website. • Enhance voting capabilities via website.
