  2. Homework Policy/Grades • Homework posted on the board daily and on my website weekly. • Late homework: only accepted 24 hours after due date for 50% credit • Grades= Vocab/Grammar: 30%, Literature: 30%, Writing Workshop 40% • Grades posted on school website, updated weekly.

  3. Curriculum: Reading • Books read: Flowers for Algernon, The Diary of Anne Frank (play adaptation), Animal Farm, The Westing Game. • Independent reading: one book per trimester, specified genre with an in-class assessment at the end of the trimester.

  4. Curriculum: Writing • Types: Narrative-biographical, persuasive, response to literature**, poetry, poetry response, career-related. 2. Research paper: 3rd trimester, 10-12 pages on a chosen career

  5. Curriculum: Vocab, Grammar, Public Speaking • Vocabulary: Wordly Wise 3000 • Grammar: Daily Warm ups • Speeches: one per trimester

  6. The Last One!!! • Discipline policy: posted on website • Before/After school help • Attendance/make-up work
