Transparency is vital for a well-functioning internal European market. Addressing asymmetric information can eliminate market distortions and barriers to entry. Gas Regulation No. 715/2009, effective from 3rd March 2011, enforces enhanced transparency requirements under Article 18 and amended Annex 1. This project aims to monitor compliance of Transmission System Operators (TSOs) with these requirements and assess the quality of published data. Feedback from market participants indicates progress, underscoring the need for correct implementation of transparency standards and collaboration among National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) and TSOs.
