  4. The speaker affects poetry by setting the tone to persuade the message that the writer is try to convey the his/her reader • With out the speaker, the message would not be as visible to his/her readers How does the Speaker Affect Poetry?

  5. The writers involvement can change by using 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person • The involvement of the different POVs can help you as a reader determine who the speaker is • His/her involvement with the crowd can affect the way they perceive the message Involvement

  6. The time period of the poem can affect the speakers tone on the subject EX: A poem written during a certain point in time could have had different purpose back then compared to now Time Period
