Torian Baldwin. Emancipation of parents. Should Children be allowed to divorce their parents???. “Thesis”. Children should not be allowed to emancipate their parents because it is unlawful and children would not be able to make it on there own mentally and as far as lifestyle choices.

  2. Should Children be allowed to divorce their parents???

  3. “Thesis” Children should not be allowed to emancipate their parents because it is unlawful and children would not be able to make it on there own mentally and as far as lifestyle choices.

  4. Reason for being divorced • Parents who hit and/or verbally abuse their adult children despite being grown, married with children and living independently of parents • Parents who don’t show even the slightest measure of respect to their grown children, or anyone else. • Parents who habitually lie and steal money from their own children. • Parents who purposely attempt to drive a wedge between their married son/daughter and spouse, in an effort to cause a divorce because of not “liking” their son-in-law or daughter-in-law.

  5. Although some say that children should be able to divorce parents because… • Children are found to be more responsible than their parents. • Parents are excessively abusive. • Parents are careless alcoholics or drug abusers. • Parent let partner abuse them when t is not their child or with no liable reason.

  6. I believe that children shouldn’t be allowed to divorce parents because… • Not reliable enough to maintain good health and good lifestyle. • Emancipated child is more likely to be in jail or physically harmed. • Without close supervision, they will eventually develop mental and psychiatric problems.

  7. “Not reliable” They are not responsible enough to handle life on their own. When children manages to get sick, they tend to try and avoid doctors and hospitals. In most cases, doctors are what’s needed most. Without going to the doctor, it’s possible to develop even greater sicknesses. In most cases, they cant give consent for nonemergency doctor visits.

  8. “More likely in jail or physically harmed” Without parental guidance, minors tend to try and do things their own way which is not always the best way and it usually leads to illegal activity or being hurt for trying to pursue their negative goal.

  9. “Mentally disturbed” After going through so many dramatic changes in life so fast at a very young age, children need support and someone to care for them. Children tend to believe that everyone around them are against them and start to develop psychiatric problems. Which would later cause for mentally support.
