This review explores various aspects of urban land use, highlighting urban decay and social dynamics in impoverished neighborhoods and ghetto areas. We examine the impact of industrialization, focusing on the Industrial Revolution and its effects on city layouts and transitional zones. The presence of squatter settlements near factories illustrates ongoing socioeconomic challenges. Additionally, we investigate the Central Business District (CBD), suburbs, and edge cities, as well as agricultural practices such as subsidies and the agricultural revolution that has shaped rural landscapes.

Cities & Urban Land Use • Urban Decay: In the picture the buildings are run down, old, & decaying. • Ghetto: This would be a ghetto because the area looks poor & they are all the same race. • Ethnic Neighborhood: They all look like they are the same ethnicity & same culture.
Industrialization • Industrial Revolution: This is in the U.S. & you can see the factories in the background. • Transition zone: The factories are in transition zone. • Squatter Settlements: These are the settlements right outside the factories.
Cities & Urban Land Use 2 • CBD: This is the CBD where all the businesses are. • Suburbs: The suburbs are on the outskirts of the city • Edge City: this could also be an edge city because it could have concentration of businesses in the suburbs.
Agriculture • Subsidy: They are growing a lot of wheat so they can get money for a subsidy. • Agricultural revolution: They created new technology like the first tractor during this era. • Plantation: This is a plantation because they have lots of land where they grow one major crop.
