The outbreak of World War II in 1939 marked a significant turning point in global history. Triggered by Germany's deceptive tactics, including disguising soldiers as Polish troops to justify an invasion, the conflict rapidly escalated. Hitler sought revenge for World War I losses, reclaiming territories lost by Germany. As Germany invaded Poland, Britain and France declared war, forming the Allied Powers. This initial aggression set the stage for a wider conflict, drawing in nations across the globe and ultimately leading to the U.S. joining the war after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
