  3. Ex 2: Geometric Dilations A triangle has vertices at the points (-1, -3), (0, 2) and (2, -2). • Write a 3 x 2 matrix representing the vertices of the triangle. • Use scalar multiplication to dilate the triangle to twice its size. • Graph the old and new vertices to demonstrate the dilation.

  4. Ex 3: Statistics Write 2 matrices to represent the verbal and math scores. What is the combined male and female SAT scores for each year? Using your matrix from part B, what does represent?

  5. Ex 4: Adding and Subtracting Matrices • Matrices must have the same dimensions in order to add or subtract.
