What IS Gradventure? • 8th Grade ONLY field trip • Includes admission to TWO parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure • The theme parks are CLOSED to the public, so it will be ONLY 8th graders from all around the state of Florida. • The trip is AFTER SCHOOL on Friday, May 10. We leave after school and will not get back until 2:30 am! • Click here for video clip!

  3. How much is it? • Cost is $90.00 • This includes admission to two parks, t-shirt, pizza, dinner ticket, and bus transportation!

  4. What are the discipline requirements? • Between March 18 – May 10, students who receive out of school suspension ORtwo or more assignments of REBOUND are NOT eligible for the field trip.

  5. How do I sign up? • Turn in your permission slip and $90.00 ONLY to Mrs. Richardson in Room 402 BEFORE school on one of these days:Wednesday, March 6Wednesday, March 13Wednesday, March 20 • NO LATE FORMS OR MONEY WILL BE ACCEPTED! • $90.00 may be in cash or check. Please have your parent write your first and last name and student ID # on the memo line of the check.

  6. Can my parent/guardian chaperone the trip? • Yes! Adult chaperones are welcome. • Adults must be a parent or guardian of a student attending the trip. • Cost of trip for adults is $90- same as for students. • Adults must complete the chaperone field trip application. You can pick this form up from Mrs. Richardson.

  7. Contest! • Calling all artists! We are looking for a student-created design to put on the Gradventure t-shirts. • Eighth grade students will vote for the design the week before spring break! • Requirements: • -draw on a piece of computer paper • -use a felt tip pen (ex. thin Sharpie) • -theme should relate to GMS/Gradventure/8th grade • -turn in your design to Mrs. Richardson by Friday, March 15 with artist’s name on the back!

  8. Your science teacher will give you more information at the end of April when we are closer to the trip. Then, we will answer questions like: • When/where do I sign up for a group? • How much money should I bring? • Should I bring a bag? • Can I leave my ipod on the bus? • What should I wear?

  9. Questions? • Write your question on a post-it and your teacher will have Mrs. Richardson answer it! • We hope you join us for Gradventure 2013!
