Climate • In the Tropical Rain Forest it rains about 50 to 200 inches a year • The rainforest only gets about 1% of sunlight because there are no wholes between the tree tops of the trees. • The temp barely ever gets over 93 degrees or below 68 degrees • Most of the rain does not reach the ground cause of the tree tops.

  3. Plants • Because the forest floor barely gets any sunlight, none of the bushes can survive so a human could walk very easily on it. • The Evens and mosses plants adapt to the little sunlight they have.

  4. Animals There's more than 100 species in the Rainforest! These are some of them African Forest Elephant Chim- panzee The Bengal Tiger Dawn bat Common Palm Civet

Facts about the animals • African Forest elephant= recently discovered as a 3rd species of elephant • Bengal tiger= a greatly feared predator who helps to balance out the food web • Chimpanzee= endangered animals due to the destruction of their habitats • Palm Civet= it is believed that the animal is nocturnal to avoid predators • Dawn Bat= many people kill them as there are no laws in most places to protect them • Slender Loris= native people believe that this animal’s body parts have magical powers, but it is hard to tell how many of them remain due to their swift movements and nocturnal habits

Location • The tropical Rain forest is located in several different places such as • Central America in the Amazon river basin. • Africa - Zaire basin, with a small area in West Africa; also eastern Madagascar. • Indo-Malaysia - west coast of India, Assam, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Queensland, Australia. Fun fact: In the rain forest there if over 80% of fruits in theworks diet

  7. Vocab Canopy: a canopy is trees of various heights that form a little area at the top of the trees. The trees may extend 60 meters. Fun fact: over 3000 plants in the rain forest are able to fight cancer cells

  8. Major landform • In the rain forest there are tones of land forms such as mountains, hills, flat lands streams, rivers and swamps

  9. Natural Resources • In the natural resources in the rain forest we can use plants as medicine fruit as food and wood as house items. Some people even take the fun or feathers from kolas or birds. There is over 100 species in the rain forest think of the damage people could do to these beautiful animals. Fun fact: In the rain forest chicle used to be used in gum

  10. Food Web • The food web are pathways of energy shown by animals and plants. The food web shows how the animals survive with each other

  11. Place of Intrest • Some popular tourist destinations would be • Salto Angel water fall in Colombia, nearly half a mile of falling water • Floating hotel in Mamiraua • Many national parks, including Tumucumaque Mountains National Park, Cantão State Park and Jau National Park
